Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Announces New International Flight With Frontier Airlines

Frontier Airlines has announced this week that it will launch a new international flight from Phoenix to Los Cabos, Mexico. This will mark the budget airline’s initial venture into international travel from Sky Harbor International Airport.

On May 16, Frontier Airlines will begin operating the new route connecting Phoenix and Los Cabos International Airport in San Jose del Cabo. The flights will run twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.

Frontier will offer its services to the Los Cabos region, situated on the southern end of the Baja California peninsula, which encompasses the popular spot of Cabo San Lucas. This area is renowned for its stunning beaches and luxurious resorts. The addition of this location will mark the 25th destination for Frontier departing from Sky Harbor.

In a press release, Josh Flyr, Frontier’s vice president for network operations and design, expressed enthusiasm for the addition of Los Cabos, Mexico from Phoenix. He stated that adding an international destination is the next phase of their expansion from PHX, as they aim to provide more affordable flight choices from Phoenix.

In the upcoming months, Frontier Airlines will introduce new routes from Phoenix to three additional destinations. Flights to Los Angeles and St. Louis will commence in April, followed by the addition of Missoula, Montana to the schedule in May.
