The popular doughnut shop from Hollywood, Randy’s Donuts has opened in Arizona!

Located on Seventh Street, north of Montebello Avenue, the famous donut shop official opened for business Thursday. The owners have reported that their iconic oversized doughnut will be put in place within a couple of weeks.

The famous doughnut shop, which was established in 1952 in Inglewood, California, gained popularity for its enormous rooftop doughnut, and has been featured in various films such as “Iron Man 2,” “Get Shorty,” and “Mars Attacks!” It has also made appearances on television shows like “Arrested Development” and “The Simpsons.”

Customers who are looking to indulge can choose from a variety of 60 doughnuts including raised, glazed, cake, and filled options, as well as Randy’s rounds which are slightly bigger than regular doughnut holes. Randy’s doughnuts are known for being bigger, fluffier, and more airy than other brands. Their consistent quality has been maintained for over 70 years thanks to an incredible recipe.

The Classics category consists of various doughnuts, such as glazed raised, maple iced cake, and devil’s food cake. Deluxe doughnuts options are plain buttermilk, maple long john, glazed old fashioned, and chocolate twist. And don’t forget about their fancy doughnuts, such as apple fritter, butter crumb raised, and glazed crondy (croissant doughnut) and their premium doughnuts, such as Oreos raised, bacon maple long john, and Nutella raised.

In addition the brand serves up a variety of beverages, such as coffee, tea, lemonade, and more in their new beverage line including specialty drinks and milkshakes.

Is there a possibility of more Randy’s Donuts being built in Arizona? Word is the chain is definitely considering expanding their reach in the Arizona market.  Company plans are to assess the success of the first location and look for more opportunities to open additional locations within the state. Chandler seems to be the next location the chain as their eye on.

If you go, don’t expect too much for in-store dining ambiance. There is limited seated, so prepare to get your order to go.  Customers also have the convenience of a drive-thru option.

While the store is officially open for business now, they will host their official grand opening in late May, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony, once the 11-foot doughnut has been installed in front of the building.

Also, don’t forget to join Randy’s rewards program. With every dollar spent, you can earn one point. When you reach 40 points, you can redeem for a complimentary doughnut, and with 200 points, you can receive a free classic dozen.
