The Global Ambassador’s highly anticipated dining experience will finally be unveiled in Phoenix, six weeks after the opening of Sam Fox’s inaugural hotel project.

The Thea Mediterranean Rooftop, a 18,000-square-foot restaurant located at 44th Street and Camelback Road with a stunning view of Camelback Mountain, began serving customers on Wednesday. Reservations can now be made through their website.

The restaurant, Thea, was named after the Greek deity associated with light. Service will be available for dinner every day from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The bar of the establishment will serve drinks until 11 p.m. on Sundays to Thursdays and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The small-plate menu at Thea’s offers a Mediterranean-style selection of pasta dishes, coastal seafood, flatbreads, vegetables, and protein skewers that are perfect for sharing.

Which other restaurants does The Global Ambassador own?

The four additional restaurants of the Global Ambassador, which draw inspiration from different cultures around the world, have been in operation since the opening of the Fox hotel on December 6th. This follows a decade of planning and over two years of construction at The Grove mixed-use development.

Le Âme is a steakhouse in Paris that offers classic French cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

At the Parisian-inspired patisserie, Le Market, customers can indulge in pastries and espresso in the morning, while in the evening they can enjoy carefully selected cheese platters accompanied by a variety of wines.

The Pink Dolphin is an establishment located near a pool, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. They specialize in Mexican and Peruvian cuisine, as well as a variety of drinks.

The Lobby Bar offers a blend of traditional and artisanal cocktails, infused with a European touch. Guests can enjoy live jazz and other music that complements the ambiance.

Both hotel guests and locals have access to the restaurants and bars.

What other things is Sam Fox, a restaurateur in the Valley, famous for?

Fox established a strong reputation for his entrepreneurial success in the hospitality industry in the Valley, before creating The Global Ambassador. He has been recognized as a semifinalist for the prestigious James Beard Award for restaurateur of the year a total of 10 times.

The brains behind Fox Restaurant Concepts is Fox, who oversees a variety of successful dining establishments in the Valley such as Culinary Dropout, Doughbird, Flower Child, Olive & Ivy, The Henry, and Zinburger.

In 2019, he relinquished control of his empire to The Cheesecake Factory for a total of $308 million. This amount was paid in cash during the closing, with an additional $45 million to be paid over the course of the next four years. Despite the sale, Fox remained in charge of the company, operating from its headquarters in Phoenix.
