Silent Witness Needs Help Identifying Man Accused Of Robbing Two Phoenix Grocery Stores

The Silent Witness organization is working with the police in seeking the identity of a man who robbed two south Phoenix grocery.

On Sunday, June 4, 2023 at approximately 11:36 a.m., the suspect entered the Fry’s store at 520 E Baseline Rd and approached the cashier at the customer service counter. The suspect presented a note stating he had a gun and demanded cash. After retrieving money, the suspect rode away eastbound on a BMX bike. Investigators are seeking any information regarding this incident.

Reportedly, the same man robbed a Safeway location near 16th Street and Southern Avenue on July 1.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’10”, medium build. He had black squared dark glasses, black hat, black Champion sweater with white letters, red basketball shorts, black shoes, black Nike backpack and fled on a small black BMX bike. In both robberies he wore a facemask over his mouth and nose.
