It’s almost time to rock and roll and run again!
This weekend, the Arizona Rock ‘n’ Roll! The Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will take over the valley and residents will need to be aware of several traffic closures in the area that may impact your weekend commute plans.
Here are all the details you need to know about the annual race whether you are planning to run or not:
Arizona Rock ‘n’ Roll Consists of 5 Races Over Two Days
January 14th
5K Race
Begins at 8 a.m.
Tempe Beach Park
80 West Rio Salado Parkway
Race will be 1 hour
KiDS ROCK
Tempe Beach Park – both starting and finish line
Race stars at 10 a.m.
January 15th
Marathon & Half Marathon
Races start at 7:50 a.m.
Time limit for the Marathon is 7 hours, Half Marathon is 4 hours.
Start line will be at Fulton Center
ASU Campus
300 E. University Drive, Tempe
Finish Line scheduled for Tempe Beach Park
80 West Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe
10K Race
Starts at 7:20 a.m.
Time limit for the 10K is two hours
Start line will be at Fulton Center

ENTERTAINMENT
The music is always one of the best parts about this annual race. Racers and spectators can enjoy on-course entertainment throughout all of the races at designated mile stops.
Some of the performers will be featured:
Gary the Singing Cowboy, Cesar Chavez High School’s drumline, Joey Gutos, Mariachi Pasion, DJ Hemmesphere and Fighter Country Talent.

PARKING
This race draws a big crow and it will be important if you are planning to attend to make sure you know where to park. There will be free parking for Rock ‘n’ Roll participants at ASU Lot 59, 500 East Veterans Way, Tempe. Other ASU parking structures will be open for a fee of $16 per day parking for participants.
