Maricopa County Fair To Return This Week

Following the 2-year COVID pandemic hiatus, the Maricopa County Fair is set to return on Wednesday to the Arizona State Fairgrounds.

If you are looking for some good ol’ fashioned fair fun while enjoying the beautiful spring in Arizona, mark your calendars. The fair will start April 6 and runs for five days, opening each day at 10 a.m.

The fair is packed full of family fun activities and events which include carnival rides, a petting zoo, livestock shows, entertainment and plenty of delicious food options.

Admission is free to all before 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
General admission will be $9 for those age eight and over while seven and under are free.

Some events that are scheduled during the fair will be held in the Sanderson Ford Arena and feature monster trucks and demo cross, Superhero Bicycle Stunt Show, Kent Family Circus, Roberto the Magnificent and a guy who climbs inside a balloon.

In addition, over 800 different livestock and animals will be available for viewing including pigs, sheep, cattle, chickens, goats, rabbits, dairy goats and turkeys.

Rides are always a popular activity to do at the annual fair. Attendees can purchase unlimited ride wristbands for $30 in advance or $35 on site.
