Woman Who Won Arizona Lottery Indicted
Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Friday that the State Grand Jury has charged 50-year-old Barbara Kay White of Casa Grande with one count of Theft, one count of Fraudulent Schemes and Practices, and one count of Perjury, for falsely claiming she was eligible to receive a $191,107.00 prize from the Arizona Lottery in order to obtain it.
The indictment states that White was not eligible to receive prizes from the Arizona Lottery because she was an employee of a lottery retailer, Trekell Chevron d/b/a DinoMart of Casa Grande. White is alleged to have checked “No” next to the statement “I am a retailer or employee of a retailer” when she picked up the cash prize on June 20, 2020.
White is scheduled to be arraigned on March 10, 2022, before Commissioner Richard Hinz in Maricopa County Superior Court in downtown Phoenix.
