How To Make A Homemade Mask

Crafty people are stepping up to sew homemade masks for health care workers who are facing shortages amid the coronavirus pandemic across the nation.

Many individuals, groups and businesses from the community have generously offered to help assist in preparedness efforts by sewing cloth masks. While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not suggest cloth material as a first-line defense against the coronavirus, cloth masks work well for other conditions and can help conserve reserves of the N-95 respirator masks.

35th Ave Sew & Vac is locally own family business who has all the supplies for making mask to help in this medical crisis.

Jacquelyn Gilbreath of 35th Ave Sew & Vac said, “Those that are looking for a way to help our community and can sew homemade masks, 35th Ave Sew & Vac is here for you, we can help you make that happen.”

The store offers online, in store and curbside pick-up. They carry all the supplies needed: sewing machines, large variety of cotton fabric, thread and notions.

The store is open for regular hours to provide you with supplies and to help in making masks to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

35th Ave Sew & Vac has served Phoenix for over 30 years and has three valley locations.
