A newly established community resource center was recently launched by the local nonprofit organization Southwest Behavioral and Health Services (SBHS).

The center, located near 27th Avenue and Indian School in Phoenix will the center will cater to individuals in the Valley by offering mental health services and connect the divide between behavioral health services within the communities.

During the grand opening ceremony on Tuesday, SBHS’s president and CEO, Steven Sheets stated that their aim, when we obtained this site in 2023, was to establish a centralized campus for overall well-being in order to cater to those who require it the most.

The primary goal of the organization is to cater to various important demographics, such as individuals with HIV or developmental disabilities. Resources, counseling and support will be available to those facing homeless and suffering from mental health concerns.

The recently established facility at 4427 N. 27th Avenue will provide a variety of support services during both daytime and overnight hours for individuals who require assistance.

The location also offers a cooling center for visitors to utilize.

The organization not only offers drug-use treatment programs, but also day-to-day activities to support individuals in their recovery journey. Additionally, they provide transportation services to improve accessibility to treatment and assistance.
