The Denogean family is desperate for justice and has increased the Silent Witness reward in regards to their son’s case in the hope that someone will come forward with more information.

On Monday, Frank Denogean, the father of David Denogean, a former Camelback High School track coach who was shot and killed more than a year ago is seeking the public’s help to help advance the investigation in his son’s murder.

In an effort to help find their son’s killer, the family announced they are doubling the Silent Witness reward from $10,000 to $20,000 in hopes of finding someone with information leading to an arrest.

Frank expressed that “it’s often said that money speaks volumes” and he believes that somebody is aware of the events and who exactly is responsible.

The financial support has come from people within the local area, in addition to friends and family members.

On November 25, 2022, a tragic event occurred while David was walking his dog on 12th Street and Maryland Avenue. A man rushed up to him and shot him dead, for no known reason. The suspect remains at large.

The Phoenix police department reports the case is still under investigation.

In his son’s memory, Frank and his wife decided to give back to the community that has been extremely kind to them during this difficult time.  Frank shared that David always enjoyed the holidays.

On December 16th, the Denogean family will host a Christmas event at VFW Post #720 located on East Thomas Road. The event will involve a toy and gift drop-off between the hours of noon and 3 p.m., followed by games and activities taking place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. All families in need are encouraged to attend.
