Floyd Mayweather Sending Jet To Israel With Supplies, As Biden Charges Americans For Flights Home

After the devastation in Israel at the hands of a terrorist group, 22 Americans are dead and many more are stranded with limited access to transportation out of the country.

Former professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather has announced he plans to send a private jet to Israel to deliver supplies.

Air Mayweather will deliver supplies to help support Israeli soldiers and civilians. Supplies will include food, water and bulletproof vests.

“I stand with Israel and Jews all around the world. I condemn antisemitism at all cost. I stand for Peace. I stand for Human Rights! Terrorism Is Never The Answer,” Mayweather wrote in a post on Instagram.

After Hamas executed a surprise attack on Israel early Saturday morning, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war against the militant group.

As people in the area are fleeing, the US State Department has told American citizens stuck in Israel they will help them evacuate, but only if they sign a promissary note to repay all travel costs if they choose to be rescued by the US Government.

The U.S. State Department’s Consular Affairs Crisis Management System (CACMS) has informed American citizens desperate for protection and access to flights to leave the country, they must first sign an agreement as a precondition for any assistance in evacuating from the crisis-hit region.

The “assisted departure options” was sent in an email to American citizens stranded in Israel, informing them that the U.S. government would offer loans for transportation.

The Biden administration’s assistance to Americans desperate to leave Israel will come at a financial cost. The email states that “departure assistance is provided via a loan from the U.S. government, which requires travelers to sign a promissory note (an agreement to repay) prior to departure.”

The email read as follows:

The situation in Israel is still unpredictable; mortar and rocket fire may take place without warning. Please continue to follow the instructions of security and emergency response officials. Commercial flights are available but limited. If you wish to leave Israel, we encourage you to take advantage of those options now. U.S. carriers have temporarily suspended flights to Israel, if you choose to depart, you will need to fly to an intermediate location and book onward travel from there to the United States.

We understand there is high demand from U.S. citizens wishing to depart and the flight options are reduced. In the coming days we hope to assist U.S. citizens with transportation options to depart Israel. Due to the large numbers of U.S. citizens indicating interest in departure assistance, we will plan to offer transit over several days. If you choose to take this departure assistance, transportation may be by air or sea and will be to a nearby safe location and not to the United States. Travelers should be prepared to arrange their own lodging at the safe location and pay for their own onward travel from the third country to their chosen destination. Departure assistance is provided via a loan from the U.S. government which requires travelers to sign a promissory note (an agreement to repay) prior to departure.

Countries from all around the world have been feverishly working to evacuate their citizens from Israel.

Canada announced on Tuesday plans to send military aircraft to Tel Aviv for citizens and permanent residents as well as their spouses and children.

The Australian government is working with Qantas and Virgin for help to bring home Australians from Israel. Germany has chartered Lufthansa to evacuate its citizens looking to leave the country on Thursday and Friday.

Denmark will evacuate its citizens from Israel with the help of Fiji Airways.

Hungary was able to evacuate 215 citizens on two planes on Sunday and Mexico announced plans to evacuate 300 on humanitarian flights operated by their army.

Both the US and the UK have no plans to evacuate citizens, despite calls from lawmakers and those impacted.

The US is not actively working to help evacuate its citizens, a spokesperson for the national security council said on Monday. In a statement on the same day, president Joe Biden said “For those who desire to leave, commercial flights and ground options are still available.”

Several members of the U.S. congress have insisted that the government evacuate US citizens. In a letter to secretary of state Antony Blinken, representative Grace Meng said she had “harrowing reports from constituents who remain in Israel and are seeking to return to the United States as soon as possible.”
