Circle K Will No Longer Accept Fry’s Fuel Points
Before the pandemic, the average price of gas was $2.32 a gallon. Since than consumers have suffered through high gas prices and there doesn’t seem to be any relief in sight.
One program that Arizona residents have depended on to help with high gas prices is the partnership that Fry’s Food Stores and Circle K have had. Earning reward points that redeem as lower fuel price has been has helped many save money at the pump. But all of that is changing.
Circle K recently announced plans to discontinue the program and have set a date in which they will no longer accepting Fry’s fuel points redemptions at Circle K gas pumps.
If you have fuel rewards points in your account, you are encouraged to use them while you still can. Fry’s Food Stores and Circle K will end their fuel rewards partnership on Aug. 31. Fry’s customers who have earned their fuel rewards on groceries and pharmacy purchases will be able redeem the points at Circle K, Shell, and Fry’s owned fuel stations until then.
With gas prices in the Valley now 33 cents per gallon higher than they were a month ago, Fry’s officials did not elaborate as to why the partnership with Circle K was coming to an end but wanted to inform customers that fuel points will still be able to be redeemed at Fry’s fueling centers and Shell stations.
Fry’s parent company, Kroger, is in the process of merging with the grocery chain Albertsons Company, which also owns Safeway.
