The Major League Baseball season will be shortened if a deal cannot be made by the end of Monday.
Major League Baseball have given notice to locked-out baseball players that they have five days to salvage the March 31 openers and a full season. The union has been informed that games will be canceled if a labor contract is not agreed to by the end of Monday.
After the third straight day of negotiations with no progress, MLB went public with details on what they had informed the union on Feb. 12.
Players have not accepted Monday as the official deadline and made a suggested that any missed games could be made up as part of doubleheaders. The MLB will not agree to these terms.
