Another popular valley restaurant is closing its doors.

In an online announcement on Monday, after nearly 30 years, Scottsdale restaurant RanchoPinot Owner Chrysa Robertson announced the upscale eatery will serve its last meal on May 15. Robertson cited burnout for her decision.

Robertson opened the American food restaurant at Scottsdale Road and Lincoln Drive in 1994 and since then it has been a popular valley favorite.

“I have put my ‘everything’ into Rancho. It feels like second nature to me, so familiar. But the joy is starting to fade. Having the luxury of time to reflect this past year has been a real gift, and I took an honest look at my life,” she wrote.

Running the business, “had begun to consume me – all the details, all the moving parts – and things start to look different as you slide into your mid-60s,” Robertson said.

She added that she may be back cooking and serving diners but perhaps in a simpler manner one day.

The restaurant is accepting reservations for its Wednesday-Saturday service and will offer limited takeout on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

She added that anyone who bought a gift certificate and won’t be able to use it, email [email protected] to request a refund.
