Thanksgiving and Black Friday Store Hours Announced

If you are like millions of Americans, Black Friday can be seen as a holiday in itself.  In fact, last year over 165 million people went holiday shopping during the weekend after Thanksgiving, solidifying this day as one of the biggest shopping day of the year.

Ready or not, Black Friday is nearly here and retailers are currently gearing up to offer some of the best shopping deals of the holiday season.  Every year, Black Friday occurs the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is generally around a month before Christmas.  However, your shopping season may be cut short this year due to Thanksgiving’s late date of Nov. 28.  This means there are only 26 days of shopping between Thanksgiving and Christmas!

With this in mind, it is imperative for shoppers take advantage of the amazing Black Friday deals to save the most money this holiday season.  But do you need to sneak out of Thanksgiving dinner to catch the best deal?  Not necessarily. Although many retailers will be open in the evening on Thanksgiving Day, each store has its own specific hours.

It has been confirmed with BestBlackFriday.com that Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Mattress Firm, Meijer and New York & Company will be open on Thanksgiving, but their hours are not yet confirmed.  Please note that this is the first year, Bath, Bath and Beyond will open on Thanksgiving Day, so expect those stores to be very busy.
