Frontier Airlines Adds Daily Nonstop East Coast Route

Air travel out of Phoenix seems to be growing each week. Phoenix Travelers will have a new route to the East Coast beginning later this year.

Frontier Airlines recently announced starting Dec. 10. they have plans to offer nonstop daily flights between Sky Harbor International Airport and Newark, New Jersey.

The airlines is offering introductory bookings on the new flight and the fare were selling for as low as $15 one way, but restrictions required the flight had to be purchased on routes for Tuesday and Wednesday travel. The routes are eligible for the airline’s kids-fly-free offer, which is offered to members of its Discount Den club.

The airline currently flies from Phoenix to La Guardia Airport and Long Island Airport. Newark, New Jersey is less than 10 miles from Manhattan.

“We’re excited to make flying more affordable for the Garden State,” Barry Biffle, CEO and president of the airline, said in a statement.

Throughout the summer, the discount carrier has announced several flight expansion services at Sky Harbor.

Frontier has recently added nonstop travel to Las Vegas’ McCarran International, and nonstop flights to San Diego, Salt Lake City and Detroit, multiples times a week.
