The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsa.gov\/travel\/security-screening\/whatcanibring\/items\/medical-marijuana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Transportation Security Administration<\/a> now allows passengers to bring some forms of cannabidiol CBD oil and medical marijuana products on flights.<\/p>\n<p>The change is due to the 2018 Farm Bill, which made hemp and hemp derivatives legal. The agency\u2019s plan website explains the changes: \u201cPossession of marijuana and certain cannabis-infused products, including some Cannabidiol (CBD) oil, remain illegal under federal law. TSA officers are required to report any suspected violations of law, including possession of marijuana and certain cannabis-infused products. Products\/medications that contain hemp-derived CBD or are approved by the FDA are legal as long as it is produced within the regulations defined by the law under the Agriculture Improvement Act 2018.\u201d the agency wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Only products containing CBD are legal. Any product containing THC is banned. The TSA will not test products for THC, but they\u2019ll defer to local law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Epidiolex, a CBD drug which is used to treat children with epilepsy spurred the changes. \u201cTo avoid confusion as to whether families can travel with this drug, TSA immediately updated TSA.gov once we became aware of the issue,\u201d the agency said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsa.gov\/travel\/security-screening\/whatcanibring\/items\/medical-marijuana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here<\/a> to learn more about the new regulation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can now travel with CBD products.
