Max Fose, publisher of The Upper Middle, is an entrepreneur, media executive, Off-Broadway co-producer, and community advocate with over 32 years of experience shaping marketing campaigns, media strategies, and public affairs. As President of Fose + McKay, a national marketing and public affairs agency, and OE Media, an Arizona-based media company with 200,000+ followers and subscribers that includes The Upper Middle, All About Arizona News and Escape with Vagary.
His diverse career includes:
- National Media Features – Contributed to CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post and more.
- Political & Business Leadership – Advised presidential campaigns, led statewide ballot initiatives, and worked with Senators John McCain and Kyrsten Sinema, and Governors Janet Napolitano and Jan Brewer.
- Entrepreneurial Ventures – Co-produced an Off-Broadway musical, owned an email marketing company, and developed historic digital-first media strategies captured by the WSJ, Forbes, and other publications.
Max is an active board member and community leader, passionate about storytelling, local businesses, and community engagement. Through The UM, he highlights local voices, businesses, and real stories that matter most to the Upper Middle Phoenix area.
