Scottsdale Art Week returns to Arizona this month, bringing one of the largest international art fairs in the country to the Valley for four days of exhibitions, talks and collector events.
The four-day event runs March 19–22 at WestWorld of Scottsdale and will feature more than 120 galleries from 18 countries, monumental sculptures, and thousands of works of art available for viewing and acquisition.
Organizers say the event has quickly become the largest new American art fair launched in decades, positioning Scottsdale as a rising destination for collectors and the global art market.
For Arizona residents, it means an unusually rare opportunity: museum-level art from around the world arriving in the desert for a single weekend.
What to Expect at Scottsdale Art Week
The international art fair will showcase a wide range of artwork including contemporary paintings, sculptures, glass pieces and mixed-media installations.
More than 32 monumental sculptures will be displayed throughout the venue, creating an immersive exhibition space inside the North Hall at WestWorld.
The fair will feature works by artists including:
• Pablo Picasso
• Andy Warhol
• Salvador Dalí
• Marc Chagall
• David Hockney
Prices for artwork begin around $3,000 and can extend into the seven-figure range, reflecting the fair’s focus on both emerging collectors and established buyers.
In addition to international galleries, the fair also highlights Southwestern and Indigenous artists, reinforcing Arizona’s long connection to Western and Native American art traditions.
Panel Discussions and Art World Conversations
Scottsdale Art Week is designed to be more than an art exhibition.
Throughout the four-day event, visitors can attend panel discussions featuring artists, curators, museum leaders and designers discussing topics ranging from art collecting to the global contemporary art market.
“Our cultural programming series reflects the broader ambition behind Scottsdale Art Week, bringing together local, national and international voices from across the art world,” said fair director Amy Gause. “On stage, these programs foster dynamic conversations, introduce audiences to new ideas and perspectives, and reflect the depth of dialogue shaping today’s art world.”
Sessions will cover topics such as:
• Trends shaping the international art market
• How collectors build and protect major art collections
• The intersection of art, architecture and interior design
• The evolving influence of Western and Indigenous art
Opening Night and VIP Access
The event begins Thursday, March 19 with a VIP preview and opening night vernissage that allows collectors and media to see the artwork before the public opening.
The evening will include live music, award presentations and a wearable art runway show created by designers from ASU’s fashion program.
Proceeds from the opening night event benefit the Phoenix Art Museum.
Why Scottsdale Is Becoming an Art Destination
Scottsdale Art Week arrives during one of the busiest tourism seasons in Arizona.
Spring visitors are already in the region for Cactus League spring training, outdoor dining and warm weather, creating an ideal environment for a major art fair that draws collectors from across the country.
The event also reflects a broader shift as Scottsdale continues to position itself as a hub for art, culture and design in the Southwest.
