Thanksgiving morning in Phoenix has a tradition that brings together neighbors, families, and friends: the Arcadia Turkey Trot. The event welcomes runners, walkers, and volunteers to gather for a morning of movement, connection, and giving back.
Proceeds from the Arcadia Turkey Trot support Good Soles, a local nonprofit that provides new shoes to children in crisis care across Arizona. Since 2017, Good Soles has given more than 7,200 pairs of shoes to kids who need them most. For many children, receiving new shoes is about more than comfort. It represents confidence, dignity, and the chance to start the school year on equal footing with their peers.
A Thanksgiving Tradition for Everyone
The Arcadia Turkey Trot is open to all ages and fitness levels. Some participants run for time while others walk with strollers, bring along their dogs, or join simply to enjoy the atmosphere. The event creates a space where the community comes together to share the spirit of Thanksgiving in a meaningful way.
