The Mesa Arts Center once again invites the community to come together for its annual Día de los Muertos Festival. This free event, held October 25–26, 2025, celebrates the rich traditions of the Mexican holiday known as the Day of the Dead. Through art, music, and community, the festival honors loved ones who have passed while showcasing the vibrant culture of Latin America.

A Celebration of Life and Memory

Día de los Muertos is a time for families and friends to gather, reflect, and share traditions that honor loved ones who have passed. At the Mesa Arts Center, visitors can expect ofrendas (altars) decorated with marigolds, candles, and offerings. These artistic tributes create a meaningful space where the community connects across generations and remembers those who came before them.

Performances and Artistry

Each year, the festival dazzles guests with live performances from talented local and international artists. From traditional folklórico dances to mariachi music, every performance reflects the heritage and passion behind this centuries-old tradition. Visitors can also explore art installations, interactive workshops, and family-friendly activities that provide a deeper understanding of Día de los Muertos.

Festival Details
  • Dates: Saturday, October 25 (10 AM – 6 PM) and Sunday, October 26 (10 AM – 5 PM)
  • Location: Mesa Arts Center
  • Admission: Free

In addition to performances, food vendors will serve authentic Latin American cuisine, and artisan markets will offer handmade crafts, jewelry, and keepsakes inspired by the holiday. Whether you’re there to enjoy the music, participate in cultural workshops, or simply soak in the atmosphere, the festival offers something for everyone.

Why Attend?

This festival is more than an event—it is a community gathering that bridges generations and cultures. It highlights the beauty of remembering loved ones while celebrating life through shared traditions. As the Mesa Arts Center puts it, “Los espíritus se entrelazarán”—the spirits will intertwine—reminding us all of the connections that endure across time.

Make plans now to attend the Día de los Muertos Festival 2025 in Mesa and experience one of Arizona’s most meaningful cultural celebrations.
