A 37-year-old man is in custody following a domestic violence incident that led to a car crash into an apartment building in Buckeye on September 2, 2024. The driver, identified as Keith Auzenne, faces multiple charges including aggravated assault, kidnapping, and fleeing the scene of an injury crash.

Just after noon, Buckeye police responded to the Cholla Ranch Apartments near Miller and Baseline Roads after reports of a vehicle collision with the building. Upon arrival, officers found Auzenne’s girlfriend, a woman in her 30s, with non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash. Police learned that the crash occurred after an argument between the couple escalated.

Investigators revealed that Auzenne forced the woman into the backseat of the car before driving recklessly and crashing into the apartment complex. Auzenne fled the scene on foot but was located shortly after at a nearby residence. Both Auzenne and the victim were transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Auzenne has been booked into jail and is facing a range of charges, including aggravated assault, kidnapping, and leaving the scene of an injury crash. The investigation remains ongoing
