Phoenix Police Issue Warning Against Scam Calls Using Phoenix Police Phone Number
The Phoenix Police Department are warning residents not to be scammed as an increase in incidences occur with scam calls coming from a Phoenix police phone number.
The police department tweeted a message Thursday informing the public that the department “will never contact you to solicit anything.”
This alert was initiated after additional Arizona police departments reported residents receiving similar scam calls.
Earlier this Spring, Show Low police issued a warning of a phone scam that involved someone pretending to be a member of the department. The Tempe Police Department also warned of a similar scam that involved callers pretending to be from the their department.
If you receive any suspicious phone calls or messages, police encourage you to call 602-262-6151 and report the incident.
