Arizona Diamondbacks’ Season Home Opener At Chase Field Tonight

Play ball! It is officially baseball season! Tonight, the Arizona Diamondbacks will open host their Opening Day at Chase Field. Their season opens the 2023 season with a four-game series against the popular Los Angeles Dodgers.

If you are planning to go to the game here is what you need to know:

Officials are warning if you are coming to the game or if you work downtown, traffic will be heavy as the Phoenix Suns also are set to square off against the Denver Nuggets at 7:00 p.m. right next door at Talking Stick Resort Arena. If you plan to be in the area, plan for extra travel time in the area.

To celebrate the Diamondbacks’ home opener, before the game, there will be an Opening Day Street Festival with music, food, and drinks from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The first 30,000 fans in attendance will receive a free 25th Anniversary Rally Towel.

Phoenix Officer Tyler Moldovan will be throwing first pitch at D-backs home opener! This will be one not to miss.

All of Chase Field concessions are cashless. Make sure to have card for payment for all food and beverage.

All parking Garages do not accept cash as well, so have a credit card with you to pay for parking.

The ballpark has a Clear Bag Policy in effect. Anyone with a. large purse or backpack will be turned away.

Plan for your attire! Officials are planning to have the stadium roof also open. Today’s forecast is calling for 81 degrees, but at the time of the first pitch the temperature is expected to be a perfect 72 degrees.

New Concession Alert:  Foodies rejoice! The ballpark is planning to have more than 30 new food items. Specialty hotdogs, Greek dishes and they have added more vegan and gluten-free options.

Ballpark Gates open: 4:30 p.m., game time is set for 7:10 p.m.
