We are just a few weeks from “Play Ball” being announced at baseball stadiums across the valley. The warm sunshine, peanuts and great baseball draws people from all over the country to take in one of the many Spring Training games offered in Arizona during the month of March.

Mark your calendars because the Cactus League Spring Training Opening Day is set for Friday, February 24. Fifteen Major League Baseball teams will participate in the annual preseason training and games across ten different stadiums in Arizona.

“Generations of baseball fans have fallen in love with Arizona, and they return year after year,” said Bridget Binsbacher, Cactus League Executive Director “This year, we are stressing that local fans have a great opportunity to attend games early in the season, before the influx of out-of-state visitors, which occurs in mid-March.”

Reportedly ticket demand isn’t as high in the early weeks of Spring Training, so everyone is encouraged to take advantage enjoying baseball during Arizona’s most beautiful time of the year. The season will run through Tuesday, March 28.
