Authorities Discover More Human Remains On South Mountain

The Phoenix police department announced Sunday that more human remains were discovered on South Mountain.

While conducting a search by the department after a hiker found a human skull on January 14th, police located the additional remains on Saturday.

The additional search was underway due to authorities determining they were investigating a homicide as there were signs of trauma to the skull.

Detectives will use the additional remains as evidence as they continue the investigation to help try to identify the victim.

This investigation is ongoing.
