Phoenix Water Customers To Receive Usage Quarterly Reports

By on October 13, 2022 0 356Views

In an effort to help residents recognize the importance of conserving water, in October, the Phoenix Water Services Dept. began mailing water usage reports to customers who live in single-family homes. The report details how much water a customer uses, how it compares with similar homes in the area, and a city-wide average per household.

This action is in response to the City’s Stage 1 Water Alert declaration, asking each resident to examine their water use to find ways to save. Helping customers understand how much water they use is an essential first step to increasing conservation.

The reports will be sent quarterly for the foreseeable future as part of the customer’s City Services Bill. This approach has been widely used by other utilities in the Valley and large cities in the U.S.

Understanding that every home and every family is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to water conservation, customers are encouraged to visit phoenix.gov/drought and wateruseitwisely.com for water-saving tips.
