Son of Lori Vallow Accused of Raping Woman at Mesa Home

Lori Vallow’s oldest and only remaining son Colby Ryan after allegations he raped a woman in her Mesa home.

Police say 26-year-old Colby Ryan, was arrested over the weekend after he reportedly raped a woman as she told him to stop at her home. Ryan was booked into Maricopa County Jail on Saturday.

On Friday evening, the victim reported that Ryan had sexually assaulted her two days prior. The woman told police Ryan came over to her house, and the two began watching television and began kissing. According to the court paperwork, as Ryan pushed to do more, the victim decided she didn’t want to continue and told Ryan, “stop,” “this isn’t a good idea,” and “I don’t want to do this.”

The report details that Ryan then raped the victim as she continued to plead for him to stop and attempted to push him off. When Ryan got off the woman, she then told him she wasn’t okay with what just happened and wanted to be left alone. Court paperwork detail that Ryan told her he was sorry and began crying as she ran into her bedroom and locked the door. Investigators say, the following morning, the victim recorded a conversation between her and Ryan where he admitted to raping her after she told him to stop.

The victim sent the recorded conversation to Mesa police, and Ryan was arrested. Police say he confessed to police he had raped her despite her pleas to stop. Ryan has been booked on two counts of sexual assault. Ryan’s bond was set at $10,000.

Ryan’s mother Lori Vallow, is accused of killing her two kids, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan, in July 2019. JJ and Tylee’s remains were found at Charles Daybell’s, Vallow’s husband, Idaho home. Vallow remains in jail as she awaits her trial. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
