Redeveloped Papago Plaza in Scottsdale Adding a Sprouts Grocery Store

Scottsdale is getting a new Sprouts grocery store.

The popular grocery chain Sprouts will open in the redeveloped Papago Plaza. Early next year, construction will begin on the 23,000-square-foot location on the southwest corner of Scottsdale and McDowell roads. The store with have a two-story parking garage. The store is expected to open in 2024. It will join one of many retail establishments in the plaza.

This will be the fourth location in Scottsdale for the chain and 34th in the valley metro Phoenix area .

The developers acquired the 13-acre Papago Plaza in 2015 and have already begun the leasing process for a newly constructed five-story apartment complex. The apartments, SEVENTYONE15 McDowel, will feature 276 units.

Also occupying the area will be a 72,000-square-foot SpringHill Suites hotel.

Three additional buildings in the complex will hold restaurant and retail and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2023.
