Kids Back in School? Here’s Some Ways to Treat Yourself; Mom’s Edition

It’s been a long, hot, summer, and now, as your kids pack their backpacks ready to start school again, it’s time to treat yourself! Round up some of your friends, enjoy a spa day, night out, or take part in an event or class. The options are endless, and you deserve some me time.
FOUND:RE Wine Festival:
When: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Aug. 13
Where: MATCH Market & Bar, Phoenix
Cost: GA $25, VIP $50
Calling all wine lovers! With your general admission ticket you’ll get 10 wine sample tickets, (a VIP ticket, comes the wine sample tickets and a commemorative wine glass to keep). If 10 isn’t enough for you, you can purchase an additional 10 tickets for $20.
The event will feature over 60 wines to sample, local food, and live music. Some vendors include Stem Wine Co, Classico Fine Wines, Quail Wines, Vino 750, Breakthru Bev, Quench Fine Wines, Natural Wine Co, and many more. There will also be craft and art vendors!

As the kids pack up their backpacks, transport yourself into beautiful Paris. The 2 hour 30 minute class is great for all levels, so don’t worry if you have no idea what you’re getting yourself into. All the equipment and ingredients will be provided for you, and it’s BYOB!
During the class you’ll receive step by step guidance as you bake with your Pastry Chef Instructor. You’ll have the opportunity to test out different flavor profiles, and fillings to perfect your macarons to your taste buds.
Limitless Potential Brunch:
When: 10:30 a.m. Sept. 17
Where: Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia, Scottsdale
Cost: $165 per person
Brought to you by the Girls on the Run is the Limitless Potential Brunch. Their vision is a world “where every girl is empowered to activate her limitless potential and boldly pursue her dreams.” During the event you’ll get to enjoy a savory brunch and cocktails while listening to guest speakers fill the room with inspiration. You’ll get to partake in their silent auction and come home with a gift bag!
The silent auction starts the week of the event. Different items will be offered online at a variety of prices.
When: Thursday Mornings
Where: Mountain Shadows, Paradise Valley

Get together your gal pals for a Thursday morning tee time at Mountain Shadows. Every week you can schedule your tee time and receive special rates just for the ladies!
When: Sunday’s (except holiday’s)
Where: Hotel Valley Ho, Scottsdale
Cost: $155, (normally $235)
Enjoy 90 minutes of complete relaxation. Get yourself a glass of wine and choose your 60-minute treatment and 30-minute treatment to conclude your spa package. For your 60-minute treatment you can choose between either a classic massage or custom facial. And, for your 30-minute add on you can choose between a full-body aromatherapy scrub, custom mini facial, or foot reflexology.
Jade & Clover:
Where: 3939 E. Campbell Ave Suite 130, Phoenix
Following three steps, by the time you leave Jade & Clover you will have created your very own terrarium to bring home.
First you’ll choose your planter or terrarium (depending on which you choose you will fill it with either soil or sand). Next, the fun part, you get to choose your plants! Decide between succulents or house plants and then the staff will help you assemble it. To add your own personal twist to it, take a look at all the add-ons they offer. You’ll find everything from plant buddies, to tiny hats, glitter, crystals, and more.

Part coffee bar, part flower bar, Stemistry is the perfect spot for a date or girls outing. The atmosphere of this place is absolutely adorable, so put on a cute outfit because there will be plenty of photo opps. No appointment is needed, you just come in, pick out your table/workstation and get creating!
Order one of their specialty coffee drinks then start creating your bouquet. You can pick a pre-arranged one to bring home, or browse their dozens of flower varieties to assemble on your own. There’s cute little add ons you can purchase to add your own twist of style to your creation! If you need some help assembling your arrangement, there’s a florist available at all times, ready for whatever questions you have, and to jump in if needed.
