Early Voting Begins in Arizona for Primary Election
Maricopa County election ballots have been sent out and early voting is underway in Arizona for the 2022 primary election.
Registered Arizona voters who are on the active early voting list should expect to receive their mail ballots soon to cast their votes for the Election Day on Aug. 2.
For those who are not on the active early voting list, Maricopa County voters will have until July 22 to request a ballot by vote by mail. All completed ballots must be received by the county recorder by 7 p.m. on Aug. 2. Military and all overseas ballots were mailed out on June 18.
In addition to vote by mail, Maricopa County voters will have the option to vote early at one of the ten in-person designated voting centers. To return ballots, the county has 15 drop boxes in government buildings across the Valley and also one 24-hour drop box outside the Maricopa County Election Center in downtown Phoenix. Voters can also submit their mail ballots via the U.S. Postal Service.
The county has plans to have 40 more voting centers in operation on July 22, with an additional 60 more operating by Aug. 1. All voting established locations will be open on Election Day.
