After six years, residents in Phoenix’s Sunnyslope neighborhood are saying adios to Ladera Taverna y Cocina.

An announcement made on Wednesday by the owners say they have plans to convert the Mexican restaurant located on Central Avenue, just south of Dunlap Avenue to The Vig.

Ladera will celebrate their last hoorah on Independence Day weekend by offering loyal patrons to half-price liquor, beer and wine and 25% off all food Saturday and Sunday before closing the restaurant.

The Vig, which has four other Valley locations, has not yet released a timeline in which the North Central location will open.

Genuine Concepts which owns and operates The Vig, have the following restaurants in the Phoenix area:  The Womack, The McMillan, The Little Woody , and Campo Italian Bistro & Bar.
