Walmart Drone Delivery Headed to the Valley

Walmart is set to make drone delivery an option to residents in the valley.

Later this year, Walmart will expand their drone delivery network to the valley thanks to their partnership DroneUp.

The program will launch at 34 different Walmart locations, which its estimated to provide four million U.S. households with the convenience of drone delivery. Walmart says this additional form of delivery has the potential to deliver more than one million packages by drone within the year.

Customers will be able to order certain items between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and can expect their package to be air delivered in as little as 30 minutes.

The total weight of the delivery cannot exceed 10lbs and the drone delivery fee is $3.99.

An expected date for when the services will be available has not yet been announced.
