Japanese bistro Pyro was recently confirmed as the first restaurant coming to the $400 million mixed-use development The Grove in Phoenix.

The 4,200-square-foot restaurant located at 44th Street and Camelback Road will have an open-flame concept for its menu, a cocktail bar and an outdoor patio with an open hearth.

Pyro will be open for both lunch and dinner. The development and restaurant is scheduled to open in fall of 2023.

“The Flagship Restaurant Group team and I are very excited to bring Pyro to The Grove,” Nick Hogan, CEO and co-founder of the group bringing the restaurant to Phoenix, said in a press release.

“We felt that it was the right time to bring our brand-new concept to this location, as there is much development taking place in-market and residents and travelers in Phoenix are always looking for the right mix of creativity coupled with responsibly-sourced fare.”

The Grove will be a high-profile mixed use project that will feature a new community by StreetLights Residential that will have 58 two- and three- bedroom luxury apartment homes. In addition Banner Health will occupy a 70,000-square-foot medical building on the property.

The Grove is also home to the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury training facility at which opened in 2020.
