The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently reported that BMW filed documents that they are recalling more than 900,000 vehicles.

The recall centers around vehicles that can overheat and cause a fire.

The German automaker says the recall includes many 2006-2013 models. BMW owners can check if their vehicle is part of the recall by visiting the NHTSA website.

All owners will be notified by mail and given instructions to take their vehicle to an authorized BMW dealer to have the issue repaired for free.

BMW documented that it has received eight reports of fires, but no reports of injuries.

This is reportedly the third time BMW has recalled vehicles for the same issue.
