Two Korean automakers are warning car owners of a potential threat and advising those who own one of the recalled cars to park outside.

Hyundai and Kia has issued a recall of nearly 485,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to risk fire and has even gone as far as to recommend park those vehicles outdoors.

The recalls from the automakers is yet another incident of fire and engine problems that have plagued the companies for the past six years.

This current issue is contamination in the antilock brake control module that can cause an electrical short.

The following Kia cars are affected:
2014 through 2016 Kia Sportage SUVs
2016 through 2018 K900 Sedan

The following Hyundai’s cars are affected:
2016 through 2018 Santa Fe SUVs
2017 & 2018 Santa Fe Sports
2019 Santa Fe XL
2014 & 2015 Tucson SUVs

Dealers will replace a fuse in the recalled vehicles. Additionally, Hyundai dealers will inspect the control modules and replace them if necessary.
