Local Food Banks Hosting Turkey Drives to Feed Families at Thanksgiving

Now is a great time to make a donation help a family in need.

With Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, valley food banks are asking for valley residents to donate turkeys to help feed families in need. The following are details on how you can help.

United Food Bank & City of Mesa
Great Turkey Tuesday
Tuesday, November 16  – 7 a.m. to noon
Mesa Convention Center near Center Street and University Drive
Goal: Collect 1,500 turkeys and $10,000 in cash donations.

St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix
Super Saturday Turkey Drive
Saturday, November 20th – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
At Food Bank locations in Phoenix and Surprise as well as Albertsons and Safeway locations around the Valley
Goal: Collect 9,000 donated birds

The Phoenix Rescue Mission
Hope for Hunger Food Bank – 5605 N 55th Ave, Glendale, 85301
Frozen Turkey Saturday
The drive-thru donation event
Saturday, November 20th – 10am to 1:00 p.m.
Goal: Receive over 1,500 turkeys
