Harkins Theatres is offering movie goers a new fun experience. Their newly-launched “Moonlight Cinemas” series, will invite guests to enjoy a movie under the stars while showing movies on a huge projection screen atop the parking garage next to its Camelview cinema at Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.
The first two features that Harkins will offer this weekend are The Goonies and the Disney classic, Hocus Pocus. Tickets can be purchased for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29 and 30, 2021. The company plans to offer additional movies over the weekends throughout November. Upcoming movie titles have not yet been announced.
On Friday, Hocus Pocus is scheduled to be shown at 7 p.m., followed by The Goonies at 9:45 p.m. On Saturday, The Goonies will be shown at 7 p.m., followed by Hocus Pocus at 9:45 p.m.
Movie goers should note, these are not double-feature events. Tickets must be purchased to each movie. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.Harkins.com/moonlight and are $14 per person, per movie.
The venue will open at 6 p.m.
It is important to note that this event is not a drive-in movie experience. With the evening cooler temperatures, guests are encouraged to dress for the cooler evening temperatures and can bring their own blankets.
Packaged snacks, popcorn, and drinks, including cocktails, will be available for purchase in the movie viewing area. Note that Harkins Loyalty Cups will not be honored for these special movie events.
