Arizona’s largest hospital system has once again tightened visitor restrictions in Arizona as COVID-19 statistics are on the rise.

According to their press release on Monday, Banner Health will limit one visitor per patient per day in four Arizona counties where the virus is more prevalent, including Maricopa and Pinal.

Two visitors per patient per day will be allowed at Coconino and Pima counties. Facilities in Arizona’s other counties will be able to have up to two visitors at a time.

“We understand this will be challenging, but we’re committed to take the necessary steps to protect you, your family, our health care workers and the community,” Banner said in the release.

There are some restrictions to the new rule, including mothers in labor, end-of-life visitations and behavioral health units.

Visitors must be at least 12 years old and can’t have or be suspected to have COVID-19.

Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in Arizona and all visitors will be required to wear masks.
