Christmas may still be 6 months away, but it is never too soon to start thinking about the Christmas spirit. It is time to start planning your holiday adventures and a good starting point is securing a spot on the Polar Express!

Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar Express tickets are now on sale for the 21st annual train event. The season is scheduled to kick off Nov. 12 and run through Dec. 30.

Trains will run from Williams to the North Pole (near Williams) most nights at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The experience features holiday songs, a visit from Santa, a reading from “The Polar Express” children’s book, and holiday food and drink.

Prices for evening departures are $33 for kids ages 2-15 and $47 for adults on Sundays through Thursdays. Those increase to $47 for children and $59 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Christmas Eve trips start at $59 for children and $85 for adults and will include special gifts.

The Grand Canyon Railway also offers special packages for families that include the train excursion, dinner and breakfast and a one-night stay at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the railway. The overnight package price for two adults and two children ranges from $350 to $550 before taxes.
