This week, Arizonans will be able to hit the slopes at Snowbowl in Flagstaff with coronavirus restrictions in place.

The ski resort will open its season on Friday with lift ticket prices ranging from $39 to $75 in November. Rentals and tickets must be purchased online.

There will be some COVID-19 restrictions for employees and guests, similar to the ones that were implemented over the summer.

Face coverings will be required unless eating or drinking. Guests are also asked to socially distance themselves in public areas. The resort will help facilitate this by creating more spacing in lift lines and implementing online ticket and food ordering systems.

Additionally, indoor spaces will be limited. Snowbowl warned that guests should plan ahead to be outside more, and those not renting equipment should put on their gear at their vehicle.

Guests will not be allowed to bring their own food inside, and buildings will be used only for dining and to-go customers, lockers and bathroom use.

Snowbowl added that, in extreme cases of weather, injury or other emergency, the safety and sheltering needs of guests would be prioritized over coronavirus guidelines.
