As Arizona small business owners navigate this unchartered, devastating time, there is help that business owners should be aware of.

The Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) has joined forces with the Arizona Chamber and the Arizona Commerce Authority to launch a free online training program to help Arizona small business access the Corona Virus relief funds.

The CARES Act Readiness Program for Small Businesses is a free training program that helps both novice and experienced borrowers navigate the CARES Act and get access to the capital they need to help sustain their business.

How It Works
If you are the owner of a small business needing help navigating through the CARES Act to access capital, this program is designed for you.

Who is eligible to participate in this program?

-Any small business or 501(c)(3) with fewer than 500 employees
-An individual who operates as a sole proprietor, independent contractor or self-employed person who regularly carries on any trade or business
-A Tribal business concern that meets the SBA size standard
-A 501(c)(19) Veterans Organization that meets the SBA size standard

The CARES Act Readiness Program for Small Business is a great resource for those that are having difficulty navigating through their current bank’s process. It offers help to access capital through the CARES Act. Here’s what you will learn in the program:

Novice Borrower Track:

  • Module 1:  Welcome & CARES Act Resource Overview
  • Module 2: The 5 C’s of Business Financing
  • Module 3: Financial & Business Planning
  • Module 4: Preparing the Loan Package
  • Module 5: Submit Loan Application & Meet Your Business Advisors (LIVE Webinar)

    You will earn a Certificate of Participation upon completing Module 4. You will need this certificate to enter our LIVE webinar sessions that will be scheduled weekly.

Experienced Borrower Track:

  • Module 1:  Welcome & CARES Act Resource Overview
  • Module 2: Preparing the Loan Package
  • Module 3: Submit Loan Application & Meet Your Business Advisors (LIVE Webinar) 

You will earn a Certificate of Participation upon completing Module 2. You will need this certificate to enter our LIVE webinar sessions that will be scheduled weekly.

The program involves three simple steps:

1.    Select Your Program – Depending on the business’ current borrowing experience, the owner will go through 2-5 online classes that will involve everything from the basics of business finance to submitting loan applications.

2.    Get Your Certificate – Once the free program has been completed, the business owner will receive a Certificate of Participation. This certificate grants access to the final webinar where experts help the owner complete the funds application.

3.    Receive Your Funds – An expert will provide complete support to the business owner during the CARES Act relief application process and will follow up with the business owner until funds have been received.
