Arizona COVID-19 Cases Surpass 1,000 Mark

The number of Arizona positive tests for COVID-19 has crossed the 1,000 barrier.

State health officials said Monday morning that the state was up to 1,157 cases.

Three more people in Arizona have died from the disease caused by the coronavirus, bringing the state total to 20 confirmed deaths from COVID-19.

According to the health department, more than 16,000 tests for the virus have been administered in Arizona, with approximately 6% resulting in a positive diagnosis.

Nationally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 2,112 deaths from more than 122,000 COVID-19 cases as of Sunday.
