The Grand Canyon State is getting even grander.

The Census Bureau recently released its 2018 American Community Survey ‘One-Year Estimates’, which revealed that Arizona is the fastest growing state in the country.

According to estimates from the report, Arizona’s population grew from 7,016,270 in 2017 to 7,171,646 in 2018.

This is a radical difference compared to the 2016-17 report that declared Arizona as the 10th fastest growing state in America.

This population increase has resulted in an expectation that Arizona’s number of congressional seats will go up from 9 to 10 next year.

Maricopa County, Arizona’s largest county, is the fastest growing of all of the nation’s counties with a population over one million.

New York is at the top of the list of states that are losing population. New York’s population decreased by 1.5 percent.
