New Cruise to Rocky Point Set To Launch In December
Cruise & Maritime Voyages is set to launch their inaugural Sea of Cortez cruise leaving from Puerto Peñasco, Mexico on December 7th.
Cruise & Maritime Voyages spokeswoman Marlene Oliver said, “A team of employees is in Puerto Peñasco, meeting with local businesses, hotels and government officials in preparation for the inaugural Dec. 7 sailing.”
The new 11-night cruise will travel from Puerto Peñasco through the Sea of Cortez to Topolobampo, Mazatlán, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Loreto, Santa Rosalia and Guaymas.
Oliver said the company is currently finalizing its shore excursions. They plan to offer cruise goers whale watching and other special outings that will showcase the heritage, nature and wildlife of the Sea of Cortez.
The ship can hold up to 550 passengers, and the cruise fare includes three daily meals, as well as wine and beer at lunch and dinner.
The company plans to have scheduled lectures by professors and other experts from the region to inform passengers about the history and culture of the areas they are visiting. The schedule of speakers is currently being finalized.
