Medieval Times coming to Scottsdale in July

Medieval Times and its 1,000-seat arena will open soon to host the first castle and dinner show in the state.

An official grand opening date has not been announced, but Drew Barnes, the marketing and sales manager for the project, says it should be open in “late July.”

The castle will be located on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. It’s close to Loop 101 and Via de Ventura.

Children’s tickets, for those 12 and younger, will be $35.95, and it’ll be $45.95 for adults. The ticket price does not include processing fees, tax, gratuity, or upgrades.

Most dinner shows were at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7 p.m., but the times vary by date.

With admission, guests get a four-course meal that they eat with their hands; two soft drinks; and a show with hand-to-hand combat and jousting knights. They will also get to visit the Hall of Arms, where there are coats of armor are displayed.

There are upgrades available for those guests who want the royal treatment.

Royalty Package: $15 upgrade fee, priority castle access, VIP seating, priority seating access, cheering banner, and VIP lanyard.

Celebration Package: $20 upgrade fee, priority castle access, VIP seating, priority seating access, cheer banner, VIP lanyard, group photos, birthday cake, and personalized announcement during show.

Queen’s Royalty Package: $25 upgrade fee, priority castle access, seating in first or second rows, priority seating access, cheering banner, VIP lanyard, and framed group photo.

For $2, guests can tour the Torture Museum, where replica torture devices displayed.

The Menu

The meal includes garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes, dessert, and two soft drinks. There are no utensils, so guests have to eat with their hands.

There are also vegan and vegetarian meals. There will also be a bar so you’ll have the chance to enjoy some ale with your meal.


According their website, guests can begin making reservations for dinner shows on Sept. 1, 2019. Guests can also buy tickets at 1-866-543-9637. It has not been disclosed how guests will be able to make reservations for shows before September.
