Janet Napolitano to discuss How Safe Are We? at The Madison Center for the Arts on May 28

Former Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano joins Mayor Kate Gallego for a discussion on her new book “How Safe Are We?” which is an analysis on national security at The Madison Center for the Arts on May 28 at 7 p.m.

Napolitano’s newly released book will give insight into how security efforts have changed our culture and country. She will weigh in on where the 1 trillion dollar investment on security has gone and why we have not had a major terrorist attack in the US since 9/11. Napolitano will also explain why she believes we need a multifaceted security department.

The Maricopa County Democratic Party and Poisoned Pen Bookstore are hosting this event. Tickets start at $32 and include a pre-signed copy of her book. VIP tickets are also available for $45 and include access to the books signing before the presentation. Doors open at 6 p.m. with plenty of free parking. To learn more about this event, click here.
