The stunning beauty of the Arizona desert and the grace of ballet will unite under the evening sky in an unique annual tradition.

For the sixth year, Ballet Arizona is set to present a series of outdoor performances at the Desert Botanical Garden.

The company will perform “Eroica” at the venue Tuesday through Sunday nights from May 14 through June 1.

Tickets for the 15 shows are available at the Ballet Arizona website. Ticket prices start at $48 plus fees.

“Eroica” was choreographed to Beethoven’s Third Symphony by Ib Andersen, Ballet Arizona’s artistic director.

“This ballet will leave you with an uplifting message and belief that in human nature, good survives over bad,” Anderson said.

“This is not a story ballet — it’s an emotional ballet. I want to connect on an emotional level and I want you to be moved and not even understand why you are feeling that way.”
